Larik was born in Minkora to his mother, Saressa, and his father, Morrak. Very tall, even as a child, he was able to venture off into the Wilds with his father when he was 13. Fearing for Larik’s safety, but still wanting to teach him to hunt, Morrak had his fellow hunters teach him the bow, so he could maintain a safe distance from the combat while out maintaining a safe perimeter around Minkora.
Shortly after turning 16, Larik’s father died on an expedition to clear out a den of monsters they’d scouted the day before. Unable to continue living in the Wilds without his father’s supervision, he returned home to his mother, a leatherworker. By the time he turned 17 he’d joined the Minkoran mercenaries and has just set off on his first assignment guarding a shipment of goods to a logging town.
He makes a point to write to his mother to let her know he’s safe and to update her on his life.
